Journal entry

Hello,

I want to take you with me on my morning visits. I tag it the Bay or ward view, So, all photos shows the view from the front door of my patients’ home. It’s the first thing I see when I walk out of their homes.

This was one of the reasons why I chose community nursing, the entrance to your Bay or cubicle is never the same. I always take a deep breathe when I leave the patient’s home and I take the time between their front door and my care to scrutinize and evaluate my performance. Sometimes if I feel overwhelmed after a visit, I sit in the car and just let it wash over me before I proceed to the next visit. Well, as you know, my day starts with my trusted fob watch, then I proceed to my insulin visits, then wounds and assessments, well, that’s the order it takes in my head, and the back to the office for a well deserved cup of tea.
